About US

We built the firm we wished existed
Perigon was founded on the idea that financial advice should be as personal as the life it's meant to serve. And a firm that puts clients first, not a product quota, is better for everyone.

Our story

Built to be a better kind of firm

Phil Hart started Perigon in 2004 because he thought the financial industry had it backwards.

Traditional firms were built around products. He wanted to build one around people.

When Arthur Ambarik joined in 2013, there were five of them and $150 million to manage. Arthur had worked at bigger firms where advisors competed against each other and success meant hitting a sales number. He was tired of it.

What he and Phil agreed on was simple: if advisors weren’t fighting over scraps, they could focus on clients. Share what they knew. Build something together instead of just next to each other.

So that’s what they did. Advisors handle the relationships. The firm handles everything else from the tools, the infrastructure, and the support so advisors can do their best work without getting pulled away from the people they’re serving.

When you work with us, you’re not just getting one person’s opinion. You’re getting a firm built to collaborate across tax, investments, estate planning, and whatever else your situation calls for.

Our name says it all. We work full circle with nothing left out. Your advisor stays close. The rest of the firm stays close too.

Why clients work with us

What working together looks like
Advice aligned with your interest, not ours

Our advisors are fiduciaries, legally required to act in your interest. No commission or quota shapes what they recommend. The advice you get is the advice that’s right for you.

Advisors who fit your situation

We don’t assign clients to advisors like accounts in a queue. We have dedicated focus areas for athletes, impact investors, people navigating major life transitions, or business owners and more, because the right advisor for your situation isn’t always a generalist.

Clarity is part of the advice

Complex situations don’t require complex explanations. We break down what’s happening, what your options are, and what we’d recommend, so you can make confident decisions without needing a finance degree

Recognized for excellence. Built for direct access.

We have awards and recognition from leading publications. The firms that earn that kind of recognition usually stop feeling personal. We don’t think you should have to choose.
